The type of Intensive driving courses we offer:
l Intensive Fast Track
l Semi-intensive
l Test Booster
Intensive Fast-Track Course
An Intensive Fast-Track course enables the pupil to pass their driving test in the shortest time possible, 2 to 4 weeks is not an uncommon length of time. This is subject to such things as pupil and instructor availability and test dates which are governed by the Driving Standards Agency.
An intensive course is definately not for the fainthearted as you may have to spend long periods of time in the car, possibly up to 4 hours each day. The pupil also needs to be quite flexible with their time.
The Intensive Fast-Track course offers 35 hours of tuition with one of our approved driving instructors and is suited to pupils who have no or very little driving experience.
This type of intensive course requires a £150 deposit and the remainder to be paid on day one of the course. All major credit cards accepted.
Semi-Intensive Course
Our Semi-Intensive courses are normally run over 4-12 weeks depending on the amount of tuition required, therefore suited to a much wider range of pupils. In most cases the course can be completed around work, college and family commitments. It works in a similar way to the intensive course, the main difference is lessons will each be 90 minute in duration taken 2-6 times a week this allows for more flexibility.
We have found this type of course to have a more successful pass rate compared the the fully intensive, in our opinion this is due to pupils having less pressure and more time to understand the skills of driving as well as smaller periods of time in the car.
Pupils can start this course without having to pass the Theory test first. This can be done throughout the course.
How does it work?
The pupil pays weekly paying only for tuition covered in that week, i.e. if the pupil books 3 x 90 minute lessons in one week, they pay only for 3 x 90 minute lessons and so on each week. By paying for lessons this way the pupil will only pay for what they need. A deposit of £50 is required to book a semi intensive course, but this will be used against the pupils first weeks driving lessons. At the end of each weeks lessons the pupil will discuss the lesson times for the following week with their instructor. This means the pupil only pays for the tuition that they need.
The benefits of this course is it enables pupils to progress at a faster pace compared with pupils taking lessons one or two hours each week and without the large upfront costs of the Intensive fast track.
Test Booster Course
The Test Booster Course is ideal for learners who haven’t yet passed their test but are close to test standard or for those who have recently failed the DSA practical driving test and need a short burst of lessons prior to re-sitting the test.
Pupils may take this course as long as their last lesson or test was no longer than 2 months ago. The Local instructor will assess your driving and correct any faults to improve your driving skills in preperation for the driving test. After the instructors assessment they feel that 12 hours is not enough they will talk to you regarding suitable alternatives.
The Test Booster course consists of 12 hours of in-car tuition and can be taken in blocks of 1 or 2 hour lessons leading up to the test.
