EXAMINERS ARE NOW GOING TO BE PRESCRIBED TABLETS

The DVSA have added that they are going to be transforming their services so that they can carry out driving tests better. They are also going to be doing this for driving tests and motorcycle tests as well. This includes giving the DVSA the chance to record their tests onto a tablet rather than doing it right onto paper. This is said to be the case by the end of the year, so that is especially interesting to see. Those who work in driving jobs will find this especially interesting. Of course, it’s important to know that a driving examiner is not there to try and tell you what to do during the test and they are just going to sit there and try and find out if you have the right skills to drive.

During the test, the tablet screen won’t actually be visible to the person who is trying to drive. The DVSA have stated that they will be blogging a lot about this very soon, so it’s super important that you keep your eyes peeled about this.

If you are a driving instructor then it is your job to try and make sure that the driver is being supervised at all times and that they should not be using the tablet when the engine is switched on. This could cause some controversy but only time will tell if this is going to bring out a good result. Of course, if you are a driving instructor then this is going to be really interesting but it really will help you to come to terms with the new regulations and it will also help you to know how things are going to change in the future as well. This is also important if you want to become a driving instructor.
