FAILED TESTS ARE COSTING MILLIONS AS DRIVING SCHOOLS FAIL TO MEET THE MARK

Over 27,000 driving tests have been failed in the last year alone and this is all because learners have been taught by people who aren’t actually experienced enough to show them how to drive. Trainee driving instructors have much lower pass rates and they have cost the general public over £1.7 million in test fees. This could have been used to provide the learner drivers with more lessons so they can learn how to drive to a higher standard before going for their test. A qualified driving instructor will have a green badge so if you are looking for a local driving school then you need to do everything you can to ask them about this.

If you are not sure if your instructor is a trainee or not then you should just be able to ask your instructor. 97% of schools will be able to tell you if your instructor is a trainee. The problem is, even though your trainee instructor is entitled to work in the industry, they have not passed their exam that shows that they can instruct someone properly on how to drive. The pass rate for this exam is very low, only at around 30%.

If you want to make sure that your driver is going to be qualified or not then you need to do everything you can to make sure that you are going to get a highly qualified, government approved instructor. Be aware of DSA approved phrases as well, and don’t be afraid to ask for someone who is fully qualified and who has passed this exam. Again, if you aren’t sure, simply look out for the green badge because this will tell you whether or not they are qualified to teach.
