MPS CALL FOR £100BN NORTHERN TRANSPORT INVESTMENT

A cross-party group of politicians from the North have written to try and ask the chancellor to see if they can give them some support for their regional road and even their rail links. The idea is that they want them to be improved and they also want to propose the arrival of the HS2 as well. This needs to be done in 2032 and those who offer driving lessons Doncaster will find this especially interesting. If you do attend a Doncaster driving school this could also mean some changes as well.

The letter stated that the money was in fact needed to try and reverse all of the years where the projects have been underinvested. The Secretary of Transport has come out to say that the north would in fact get the Lion’s share of the future transport investment and Kevin Hollinrake who is the conservative MP has also stated that the proposed Northern Powerhouse Rail is at a critical stage at the moment. Passengers in Liverpool have even come out to say that the Northern Rail services that are being offered at the moment are nothing short of abysmal. The plan was once described as being HS3 and it is focused on trying to cut the rail time journey and this is especially the case when you look at the east to the west routes. This is across the North and there are a lot of people who are very supportive of this. If the plan does go ahead then this would mean that there are new high-speed lines being run across Manchester and Liverpool and this includes Sheffield and Leeds as well. This could open up a ton of new possibilities if the move was to go through, so this is very interesting to say the least.
