TOP 5 REASONS WHY ADIS FAIL THEIR DRIVING CHECKS

During your check, your examiner will be looking for any evidence that shows that you meet all of the standard checks when it comes to your driving and your training. When the time does come for you to get started, you will usually be graded on three different categories and you will also be marked on 17 areas as well. This includes lesson planning, risk management and then teaching and learning.

1- Adapted the Lesson
The main reason why people fail their check is because they fail to adapt the lesson plan to meet the learning goal of the student in question.

2- Taught the Lesson
Another reason is that you may not have taught the lesson in a style that is suitable to the student’s learning.

3- Encouraging the Student to Solve Problems
You also need to do everything you can to encourage the pupil to look at their own problems while also taking responsibility for any learning.

4- Give the Pupil Timely Feedback
You then need to give the pupil the timely feedback during and throughout the session.

5- Give the Right Feedback

Another reason why people fail is because they don’t give the pupil enough time to handle any critical incidents.

It’s very important that you work with your student to give the student the right feedback throughout the lesson while also giving them the feedback that they need later down the line as well. If you want to get the best result out of your lesson then you need to show them that they can take responsibility for their own learning while also asking them if they know what they did wrong as time goes on, so that is another thing that you have to think about if you want to become a driving instructor.
